Aidan Turner is an Irish actor who portrays Ross Poldark in the 2015 BBC adaptation of Poldark.

Career[]
Turner briefly worked as an apprentice electrician when he left school. He attended The Gaiety School of Acting and took part in many plays including Romeo and Juliet.[1]
Turner's first well known role was in Being Human, where he played vampire John Mitchell from 2009 to 2011.[2] It brought him to the attention of Peter Jackson, which led Turner to portray Kíli in The Hobbit trilogy from 2012 to 2014.
Turner has played Ross Poldark in the BBC adapation of Poldark since 2015.
