Henry Vennor Poldark is the fifth and final child and second son of Ross Vennor Poldark and Demelza Poldark (nee Carne). He is born in December of 1812 after a difficult final pregnancy for Demelza. Winston Graham presents him as a precocious and not easily perturbed child.
He, like his older sister Bella, has not appeared in the modern day television adaptation of the Poldark novels because his birth falls outside the time era the adaptation currently covers. Eventually, Henry inherits Nampara because of Jeremy's untimely death at the Battle of Waterloo.
